In addition to the air conditioning units already in place, an extra 200 portable units will be fitted across 120 villas in France, Spain and Portugal. Although the project is expected to cost 64,000 Euros in total, the units will be installed at no cost to villa owners. The free-standing, low noise units were specifically chosen for their advanced water cooling technology – an environmentally friendly feature that allows the units to conserve more energy than standard units. The mobile units are also fully autonomous, so that users can program the air conditioning to start and stop at their leisure. The units are scheduled be delivered over the next two months and will be operational in time for the busy summer period. “With only 20% of our villas having air-conditioning and an estimated 50% of our clients considering it a requirement, the necessary course of action to address the imbalance was abundantly clear” said James Main, Managing Director of VillaCentre. “Buy them ourselves.
